鎌倉の東急ストアのエレベータにこういう表示が貼ってあって英文が気持ち悪いという話をFacebookに投稿したら以下のような改善案をもらった。(この写真は2019年3月のものだが2017年に同じものを見た気がする)
In case of Visiting Saizeria . You take another stairs of outside this building.
For Sizeriya customers: Please use the outside stairs. You can't go to the basement with the elevator and stairs inside the building.
This elevator does not take you to Saizeria. Please use the staircase outside the building.

私なら短くこう書くかもしれない。

Google翻訳してもちゃんと理解してもらえたから平易な英文なのだろう。
平易な単語と文法で簡潔に書くとわかりやすいと思うのだが、そういう表現はあたりまえだと思われてしまうだろう。苦労して(?)わかりやすく短くしても全然評価されないわけである。苦労してシンプルなインタフェースを考えても全然評価されないのと似てると思った。 (c.f. あたりまえインタフェース)
(追記) 2014/11にも同じ写真を撮ってた。直せよ...
残念ながら(?)このサインは撤去されてしまった (2022)
